Welcome to Motoretro<\/h3>\n

From the past to the future.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

It was towards the end of the 1960s that Francisco Herreros Alfaro, a great enthusiast of antique, classic and collectors\u2019 motorcycles, noticed during his trips outside Spain, when attending various gatherings of this kind of motorcycle, that there was a growing European movement around them. He then thought that something similar should be done in Spain and, in 1975, when the magazine SOLO MOTO was launched, he reached an agreement to include a section called \u201cHistory of the Spanish Motorcycle\u201d, which would later be followed by \u201cPassion for the Retro\u201d. <\/p>\n

This was accompanied by weekly partwork collections for the publishers Delta\/Teide and Planeta\/De Agostini, such as Dos Ruedas and Enciclopedia de la Moto, as well as publications in the automotive sector such as Enciclopedia del Auto, Bricolaje del Autom\u00f3vil and Auto F\u00e1cil.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Although some had called me crazy, the truth is they were only partly right. One more word was missing after crazy: visionary. Indeed, I was a visionary madman for having foreseen this movement in Spain, which would lead in 1987 not only to the creation of the first club in Spain dedicated to vintage motorcycles, the Club de Amigos de la Motocicleta Espa\u00f1ola, but also to the launch of the first Spanish magazine devoted to this type of motorcycle, MOTO RETRO. The oldest magazine of its kind in Spain, MOTO RETRO, a thoroughly technical publication with no commercial advertising or superfluous articles, would broaden its scope from 1992 onwards with another first for this country: the publication of themed books, both on history and mechanics. <\/p>\n

At the same time as these developments, I had also been bringing to life other products for the restoration of antique, classic and collectors\u2019 motorcycles, among which I would highlight two essentials for this work: emblems and rubber parts, such as grips and footrests.<\/p>\n

All this public work, which began in the 1960s, had to be made easier for the new enthusiasts who have appeared throughout that period, and what better way to do so than by adapting to the technology of the future: the Internet. That is why this website was created. <\/p>\n
